Zarina Wahab is among the popular actress in B Town who is known to have done a wide range of movies. She hails from Visskhapatnam, AP, wherein she did her schooling and college and later went to FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) based in Pune. She is married to Aditya Pancholi despite he being six year junior to her. The couple has two kids – daughter Sana and son Sooraj who is about to make his debut entry into Bollywood. However, the couple had turbulent marriage owing to her hubby’s hot temper and thus the two have remained in the headlines of different gossip magazines. The couple was in limelight during the suicide case Jiah Khan as her son – Sooraj was in living relationship with the deceased model and was arrested for few days.

After graduating from FTII Pune, she migrated to pursue her dreams, however, was rejected by the popular director Raj Kapoor. She then worked on her grooming and appearance and started attending events and film parties. During one such party, the director Basu Chatterjee for his upcoming movie Chit Chor noticed her. The movie turned a big hit of 1976 and helped her garner food feedback for her performance. Later, she got the opportunity to work in Amol Palekar and Vijayendra star movie called Agar, which followed the other called Zajbaat, Swan Ko Aane Do with Raj Babbar. She also worked in South Indian movies based in Malayalam and Telugu and thus rocked the Bollywood with so many movies. She worked for twenty years and then settled down with her marriage in 1995 with Aditya Pancholi.

After around nine years, she got her comeback in 2004 with the movie Dil Mange More, wherein she played the character of Shagun played by Ayesha Takia in opposite to Shahid Kapoor. This followed a number of other movies including Kisna, Jaane Hoga Kya, Prateeksha, Aagathan, My Name Is Khan, etc. However, Calendar was her comeback Malayalam movie, she kept on working in a number of movies then. Some of her recent hind movies include Agneepath, I, Me aur Main, Himmatwala and Club 60 while the south Indian movies include Vishwaroopam, Aaru Sundarimaarude Katha, Olipporu, etc. Her upcoming movie include Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do. As far as awards are concerned, she has bagged a number of FIlmfare awards for her performance in different movies. Apart from working in movies, she also worked for smaller screens. These include Maayka at Zee TV, Zaara Pyaar Ki Saugat, Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Madhubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Ek Kiran Roshni Ki, etc. She even was nominated for smaller screen awards, however, couldn’t get any for the same.
