Rajeshwari Sachdev is an actress and host and hails from Mumbai coming from Punjabi father. She was born on 14th April 1975 in Mumbai in a Punjabi and Southern India. She completed her schooling and college from Mumbai completing from Guru Nanak Khalsa College. She started her career with theaters with the group Indian People’s Theatre Association (IPTA). She then got the debut in M Town film called Aayatya Gharat Gharoba released in 1991 which was directed by Sachin.
She then got her second movie called Suraj Ka Satvan Ghoda by Shyam Benegal in the very next year. Since then it was no looking back. She then got the chance with films like Mammo in the year 1994, followed by Sardari Begum in 1996, Samar in 1999, Hari-Bhari in 2000, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero in the year 2005 and Welcome to Sajjanpur in 2008. She then got the chance to work in a Hollywood movie called Little Buddha in the year 1993 and the other venture was Tales of Kamasutra: The Perfumed Garden released in 1998.
She then got the chance in a TV show called Samvidhaan, which was directed by Shyam Benegal. She also got the chance to work in the pop song called Hulle Hullare, which was released in 2007. She also worked with the TV show called Rihhaee then was seen replacing actress Divya Dutta and later quit the show working in one episode. She was seen in the character called Mamta Noon in a romantic drama series called Dil Hi Toh Hai aired on Sony TV. Some of the recent films include Firebrand, Welcome Zindagi, Runn: The Debut, Issaq, Samhita, Malik Ek, and 7 Days in Slow Motion. She will be soon appearing in the web series called Dil Hi Toh Hai 2.
