Simran was born as Rishibala Naval on 4th April 1976 and is an actress from South India. She was born and brought up in Mumbai. Her father was in Indian naval, while she did her schooling from St. Anthony’s high school, Versova and then completed her B.Com from Mumbai University. While she was the student, she also remained the part of many modelling assignments. She also got trained in classical dance. However, she intended to become a fashion designer, but luck has some other plans that made her entry into the world of acting in the South Indian films. She did her debut in films with a Bollywood movie called Sanam Harjai in 1995. However, the film was a disaster at the box office. Luckily spotted her at one TV show and roped her in her next venture Tere Mere Sapne made under the production venture called ABCL in 1996.

She then ended up entering into the Tamil films starting with VIP in 1997 and then it was no looking back for the lady. She did a number of Tamil and other south Indian movies. Some of her early movies include Once More, Nerrukku Ner, Poochudava, Kondattam, Aval Varuvala, Natpukkaga, Kannedhirey Thondrinal, Thulladha Manamum Thullum, Edhirum Pudhirum, Vaali, Kanave Kalaiyadhe, Anthapuram, Jodi, Kannupada Poguthaiya, Time, Unnai Kodu Ennai Tharuven, Parthen Rasithen, Priyamanavale, 12B, Parthale Paravasam, Pammal K. Sambandam, and Dhaya. Some of her Hindi movies include Muqaddar, Bal Bramhachari, Angaara, Agni Morcha, Gunda Gardi, Daadagiri, Kachche Dhaage, Anari No.1, Sirf Tum, Khauff, Yuva, and Aakheer.
She did his debut in Telugu films with Abbai Gari Pelli in the year 1997. She then did a number of other movies that include Priya O Priya, Maa Nannaki Pelli, Auto Driver, Annanya, Samarasimha Reddy, Kalisundam Raa, Nuvvu Vastavani, Yuvaraju, Goppinti Alludu, Daddy, Seema Simham, Vijayadasami, Okka Magadu, and John Appa Rao 40 plus. her Malayalam and Kannada movies include Indraprastham, Heart Beats, Simhada Mari, and Alone. She also remained active in small screen, and some of her prominent shows in which she has remained as the key host include Simran Thirai, Superhit Muqabla, Sundarakanda, Super Stars and Jackpot to name a few. She also endorses a number of products for diverse brands and talking about her personal life, she is married to her childhood friend Deepak Bagga, and the couple has two kids.
